Solitude's Silence
by: Jacob Blackburn

Solitude's Silence,
lonliness calls,
hollowing heart,
withering soul.

To each his own,
as the saying goes.
Saddens me greatly,
being alone.

Wanting to hold,
longing to feel,
your fair touch,
a love so real.

Someday you will come,
and lift my heart high.
up through the air until
lost in the sky.

And then on that day,
when you come to me,
I will be here,
for your eyes to see.
